11 am – Noon CT: Direct Marketing 101 - Getting The Most Out of Your Programs

Sometimes working in Annual Giving can feel like you are playing a game of twister. Juggling your time and budget effectively can be a challenge. Successful direct marketing focuses on getting these four things right to be effective: having a compelling message, the right timing, a targeted list and the most effective channels. In this session, we will focus on community research and practical application in the Reeher Platform to help you get these four areas right for your direct marketing campaigns.

2 pm – 3 pm CT: Channel Spotlight: Mail and Phone - Is It Time To "Fire" the Fundamentals?

Despite their long history as the bread-and-butter of Annual Giving programs, direct mail and phone programs have been increasingly scrutinized over the past few years. Stanford’s very public decision to discontinue their phone program in September of 2016 seemed to give this conversation even more traction. It highlights a question we all wrestle with: What does the future of these programs look like?  How will we need to shift to continue to support the mission of our institutions? The Reeher community provides a wealth of data that allow us to start to tackle - quantitatively - the state of these programs and how they have and might shift moving forward. During this session, we’ll refresh our analysis on these programs to lay the groundwork for this conversation with your own team and the Reeher community at large.

Wednesday, April 5

11 am – Noon CT: Understanding Appeal Performance and Channel Spotlight on Email/Web

Are you taking full advantage of the appeal analysis tools within the Reeher platform?  We will show you how to best utilize the Appeals tab within Reeher to learn more about your past performance, develop insight for improvement, and plan for the future.

This session's channel spotlight will concentrate on Web and Email. With more and more gifts being received through email solicitations and online giving portals, you may be experiencing a change in giving behavior.  We will review how these changes were reflected within the Reeher community by analyzing gifts received through these channels in Fiscal Year 2016.

2 pm – 3 pm CT: Maximizing Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Programs

More institutions are now leveraging the Class Agent Best Practice Module to streamline their peer-to-peer volunteer fundraising programs. In this session, we will explore the latest Reeher research on what you can do to improve the success rates of your volunteers. Join us as we gain insight into how to take your peer-to-peer fundraising program to the next level using Reeher Class Agent community benchmark data.

Thursday, April 6

11 am – Noon CT: Leadership Annual Giving: Insight From Your Peers

In this session, we will bring together three customer panelists to discuss how they have structured their Leadership Annual Giving programs. What works? What are their biggest challenges? and what incentives are in place for Leadership Annual Giving officers to refer prospects up when they have become mature enough to be considered for making a major gift? We will also review the RAGMA benchmark data for those institutions in the Leadership Annual Giving mode and how they compare to the overall Reeher community.

2 pm – 3 pm CT: Young Alums as Generational Leaders - Can They Help Predict The Future Of Your Fundraising Program?

Young alumni are a constituency that present unique opportunities as well as some challenges to fundraisers.  This session will analyze the behaviors of young alumni and how that behavior can help predict their future philanthropic behavior..

Friday, April 7

11 am – Noon CT: What is Next?

What is new with the Reeher platform?   We are constantly evaluating how to provide the most effective tools and data to assist you when managing your Annual Giving initiatives. In the first half of this session, join the product team to learn recent and upcoming updates for the Reeher Platform.

Now what?  In the latter half of this session, we will take time to absorb the information of the week and consider ways to put the information into action.  Boot Camp attendees will be invited to ask questions of customer panelists discussing how they put Reeher strategies into action in their programs.

2 pm – 3 pm CT: Some Time to Reflect & Plan

Throughout Reeher's Annual Giving Boot Camp, you will have gathered best practices based on Reeher research and analytics. We will not have a virtual session, but instead, encourage you to finish the week with your team and brainstorm what your team would like to further explore and implement. Reeher experts will also be available if you have any questions or need some further insight.
